Terms of sale and service
Terms for buying goods from the Volton online store and using volton.energy.
Last updated: 2026-06-10
Seller and scope
The online store at volton.energy is operated by Volton Technology OÜ, registry code 17019506, VAT number EE102753909, registered office Golden Gate, Ahtri 6, 10151 Tallinn, Estonia.
Questions, complaints and withdrawal notices: info@volton.ee or +372 5851 6832.
These terms apply to purchases of goods from the online store. Service-specific terms for electricity supply, aggregation, balancing or B2B platform services are agreed separately and take precedence for those services.
Product and price information
Product descriptions, compatibility information and prices are shown next to each product. Prices are displayed in euros and include VAT unless the product page states otherwise.
Delivery cost, discounts and the total payable amount are shown before payment. The checkout recalculates product price, VAT and delivery cost server-side before creating the payment.
Ordering and payment
To place an order, add the goods to the cart, enter the required contact and delivery information, choose an available delivery and payment method, and confirm the payment.
Payments are made in euros through Montonio payment solutions. Volton does not store card details or bank authentication credentials.
The sales agreement enters into force when the payment has been successfully confirmed. If ordered goods cannot be delivered because they are out of stock or for another reason, we will notify you as soon as possible and refund the amounts paid, including delivery cost, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the notice.
Delivery
Goods are currently delivered within Estonia using Omniva parcel machines. The checkout shows the available pickup points.
Domestic deliveries normally arrive at the selected pickup point within 2-3 business days after the sales agreement enters into force. In exceptional cases, delivery may take up to 45 calendar days.
Right of withdrawal
A consumer may withdraw from a distance sales agreement within 14 days after receiving the goods. The right of withdrawal does not apply to buyers who are legal persons.
To use the withdrawal right, the goods may only be handled as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way as would be allowed in a physical store. If the goods have been used more than this or show signs of use or wear, we may reduce the refund according to the decrease in value.
Send a free-form withdrawal statement to info@volton.ee no later than 14 days after receiving the goods. You may use this model text: "I withdraw from the sales agreement for order [order number], received on [date]. Consumer name, email, address, date."
The consumer bears the direct cost of returning the goods, unless the reason for return is that the goods do not correspond to the order, are incorrect or are defective.
Return the goods within 14 days after submitting the withdrawal statement or provide proof that you handed the goods to the carrier within that period. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods or proof that they have been returned.
We will refund the payments received under the sales agreement without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving the withdrawal statement and the returned goods or return proof.
Complaints and statutory conformity
For consumer sales, Volton is responsible for non-conformity or defects that existed at delivery and become apparent within two years after delivery. During the first 12 months after delivery, the defect is presumed to have existed at delivery unless Volton proves otherwise.
Notify us of a defect within two months after discovering it by emailing info@volton.ee or calling +372 5851 6832. We respond to consumer complaints in writing or in a form reproducible in writing within 15 days.
If goods have a defect for which Volton is responsible, we will repair or replace the goods. If repair or replacement is impossible or fails, we will refund the payments received under the sales agreement.
Volton is not responsible for defects caused after delivery by incorrect installation, misuse, normal wear, unauthorised modification or faults in the buyer's electrical system.
Personal data
We use the personal data entered at checkout to process the order, take payment, issue invoices, send order and shipment emails, deliver the goods and handle complaints or returns.
We share data with payment, delivery, email and hosting providers only as needed for those purposes. See the privacy notice for details.

Dispute resolution and governing law
If you have a complaint, first contact us at info@volton.ee or +372 5851 6832 so we can try to resolve it directly.
If a consumer and Volton cannot resolve a dispute by agreement, the consumer may contact the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee. The committee resolves consumer disputes arising from contracts with Estonian traders and the procedure is free for the consumer: https://ttja.ee/tarbijavaidluste-komisjon
The former European Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025. Cross-border consumers can find EU consumer redress information at https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/
These terms are governed by Estonian law. Disputes are resolved in Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus) unless mandatory consumer-protection rules require otherwise.
