Open the app, copy your link
Open the Volton Home app, go to the Earn tab and tap Share invite. The link is personalised.

Send it to someone who complains about their bill
A message, an email, however you like. The only thing that matters is that your friend signs the contract through your link.

Your friend signs up through the link
They sign the Volton electricity package through your link. They do not have to cancel their old contract, Volton handles the paperwork.

Volton confirms the contract, Coins reach your account
Once we have confirmed the agreement, 50 Coins reach both accounts. This usually happens within 24h.

Before you share
When exactly do the coins arrive?
When Volton counter-signs your friend’s agreement, which is usually within 24 hours of them signing up. You do not wait for the supply switch, which takes effect at the start of the following month.
Where do I see what I have earned?
On the Earn tab of the app. Credited Coins, spent Coins and the history behind them are in one place, so you can check whether an invitation has landed yet.
Does my friend have to cancel their old contract first?
No. In Estonia the switch is handled between the suppliers, and the old contract ends as the new one begins. Asking them to cancel first would leave them on the universal service in between, which is the expensive option.
What do I still pay during the margin-free month?
Everything except our margin. You still pay the Nord Pool exchange price for the electricity you use, the grid fee to your network operator on its own separate contract, the state charges (electricity excise duty and the renewable energy charge) and VAT on top. Volton has no monthly fee to remove, so nothing changes there. The reward takes off the one line that is ours, and applying it needs your own Volton contract. The smart plug has no such condition.
