What our customers say.
Everything went quickly with Volton. Installation was simple, and the system works so I don't have to switch devices on and off myself. The house is warm, the app gives a clear overview of where energy is going, and electricity bills are about a third smaller than before. Currently, ten devices are connected to Volton, and I'm really glad that such young people have made this solution ready. I definitely recommend it.

Common questions
Electricity package
The market price of power, set hour by hour on the Nord Pool exchange. It’s cheapest at night and on windy days — exactly when Volton runs your devices.
No. Volton devices work with any supplier — you just need a spot-price (hourly) package so the cheap hours actually show up on your bill. Businesses can also get supply directly from us: the Golden Electricity Package is spot-priced power with a 0.5 c/kWh margin and €0 monthly fee.
The devices still work — schedules, remote control, the app. But the savings come from shifting consumption into cheap hours, and with a flat price there is nothing to shift against. Switch to a spot package and the same habits start paying.
No. You buy the device once; the app, the optimization and software updates are free. No subscriptions, no hidden charges.
Saving
Homes on Volton save 31% on average. The exact number depends on how much you consume and which devices you control — the more flexible load you have (heating, EV, boiler), the bigger the cut.
We compare what you actually paid — your consumption at spot prices during the hours Volton chose — with what the same consumption would have cost at the day’s average spot price. No creative math.
Devices
Smart Plug for anything that plugs into a socket — boilers, radiators, loads up to 3680 W. Smart Relay for a single room or heating circuit. DIN relays go in the electrical panel for bigger 1-phase or 3-phase loads like EV chargers and large water heaters. EMS-Hub controls heat pumps. Unsure? Our team will tell you in one message.
Water heaters, electric radiators, floor heating, air-to-air and air-to-water heat pumps, ground-source heat pumps, EV chargers — any big, flexible load.
It works exactly as you set it. Mark in the app when you need hot water or a warm room, and Volton makes sure everything is ready by then — buying the energy in the cheapest hours before.
Installation
The Smart Plug, yes — plug it in, pair the app, done. Relays and the EMS-Hub go into the electrical panel or onto the heat pump, which is a job for an electrician. We can connect you with partner installers.
